How Stop Procrastination and Laziness
All of us procrastinate at least one time or other somewhere in our lives.
Many of us worked and still working in many ways to stop procrastination and still wonder why couldn’t we do it.
People procrastinate on things like housework, job assignments, homework, and other life tasks.
You may be asking the question all the time, "how can I stop procrastinating ?"
In order to work on procrastination problem, you must understand the meaning and what causes the procrastination.
You may ask, " What is the meaning of procrastination ? "
It is putting a task off that you need to get done now to another time.
Let us learn about why do we procrastinate? and then it makes sense for us to work on how to avoid the procrastination.
Causes of procrastination varies from person to person and situation to situation.
Here are some causes and see which one you fall into.
Are you procrastinating due to lack of being organized ? This can overwhelm you and make you not know where to start getting your tasks done.
Are you not sure you can do the task correctly therefore you are afraid to work at it, I mean, are you looking for perfectionism ?
Have you fallen into the trap of time wasters like video games, Internet or watching TV rather than doing your chore?
Or are you just mentally lazy and cannot self motivate yourself to do your work no matter what kind of work it is?
There are many other reasons for procrastination than listed here. Let’s see what we can do about these reasons though.

Here are some ways of how to beat procrastination:
GET BETTER ORGANIZED
Make a list each day of your daily tasks so that you see what you need to get done.
List the tasks in order of importance so that you get the most important one done first.
Then as you do each task check it off and you will have a sense of accomplishment when you get the last one done.
If you follow this, you will never get overwhelmed.
DO NOT BE AFRAID OF DOING YOUR JOB
Don’t be afraid of doing your job or chores correctly.
No one is perfect in this world. You have the knowledge you need to get started remember and just work until you get it right.
Sometimes you have to ask for help from someone and it is always okay to admit that.
AVOID TV AND INTERNET
If TV or Internet is your problem (true for most of the people) then turn the thing off (I know it’s not easy).
Listen to the radio instead if you just have to have noise. It is not as distracting as the TV.
But if both will distract you then leave both off until you get your work done.
Reward yourself with watching TV after you get your work done.

WORK ON MENTAL LAZINESS
This is the hardest of the reasons shown to kick.
You have to make yourself want to get your work done first before anything.
This can be quite difficult especially if you have spent years being mentally lazy.
Being mentally lazy leads you to being physically lazy so you have to work on both.
Split your work into small sections so that you are working on things for very short periods and getting a little bit done at a time.
But commit on not quitting until the entire task is completed. Then you can allow yourself to play until the next day.
The next day plan will be getting more done than the day before.
Keep increasing your workload as the days move on until you are being motivated and active again to tackle your daily tasks with a sense of enthusiasm instead of drudgery.
